The Story Behind Dalena Design
Hi. I’m Magdalena Zajac, the owner of Dalena Design. Out of my passion and love for uniqueness, I give furniture a new lease of life.

Dalena Design was created and based in West London where my home resides. I have been buying, restoring, painting and redesigning vintage furniture since 2017.
​
My grandfather was a carpenter who gave me lots of old furniture and was the reason why I decided to create Dalena Design. I have a love for traditional, handmade furniture and wood restoration is my favourite technique as it’s a great way to preserve the original style and beauty with a modern twist which is what makes our furniture look great in today’s home.

You will notice that each furniture item I create has lots of attention to detail. Not only does the exterior design give you that ‘wow’ factor, but you will find hidden treasures on the interior too.

Restoring beauty and keeping the history of wanted furniture is what I love to do, and being able to share my furniture with people who have the same passion makes it all worthwhile.
Dalena Design was nominated in 4 different categories for THE FLIPRUNWAY UK Awards 2019. I am so proud, as we have been awarded the title of Fusion Mineral Paint Natural Wood Refinishing Artist of the Year. I took this award with so much pride, this great achievement is the motivation for the future of this company. More recently you would have caught one of my restored Ercol cabinets on Dream Home Makeovers with expert interior designer Sophie Robinson!

On the website, you’ll be able to shop for furniture items that have already been refurbished, these are ready to find their forever home. I take commissions from time to time to assist customers in owning a unique item of furniture that looks great in their dream home

My main paint line is Fusion Mineral Paint and it is made up of 100% pure acrylic resin and natural minerals, which gives the furniture amazing depth of colour. No primer or top coat is required, however I always finish all my pieces with water based varnish for extra protection and an ultra smooth finish.
